Job DescriptionWe're seeking a growth-minded partnership leader to build, scale, and operationalize demand generation through associations, industry bodies, and other external demand drivers focused on Sustainability. This role will source, evaluate, and close partnership opportunities; integrate our offerings into association programs (e.g., endorsed vendor lists, member benefits, education credits); and coordinate internally with Government Affairs, Associations/Alliances, Marketing, Sales, and Product to ensure impact, compliance, and consistency.
Beyond partnership execution, this leader will be a strong sustainability storyteller, able to connect the dots across complex sustainability frameworks, certifications, and regulatory drivers and translate them into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences. You will engage in conversations with partners and stakeholders, positioning our solutions within the broader sustainability ecosystem and helping organizations understand not just what to do, but why it matters and how it connects.
You'll own the full lifecycle from strategy and pipeline to execution and measurement turning these opportunities into a durable, multi-channel engine for qualified demand and brand authority.
ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning
- Develop the association & external demand strategy (targets, tiers, offers, messaging) aligned to business, product, and regional priorities.
- Build a partnership roadmap covering outreach, events, content, co-marketing, and integration milestones.
- Establish market coverage models by sector/region and test hypotheses for highest-yield partners.
Partner Sourcing & Deal Execution
- Identify, source, and negotiate agreements with associations, certifying bodies, trade groups, and other demand drivers (publishers, platforms, ecosystems).
- Secure program placements: endorsed provider status, member benefit programs, event speaking slots, and newsletter/web placements.
- Define and manage co-marketing calendars: webinars, roadshows, digital campaigns, thought leadership, case studies, and joint PR.
Internal Collaboration & Governance
- Partner with Government Affairs to align with policy positions, regulatory timelines, and public-sector sensitivities; ensure all partner communications are compliant and on-message.
- Partner with the Associations/Alliances team to avoid overlap, share intelligence, and standardize templates, playbooks, and SLAs.
Program Operations & Enablement
- Stand up repeatable partner onboarding (value proposition, offer constructs, lead process, reporting).
- Build toolkits (email copy, event kits, microsite/landing page templates, talking points, training decks).
- Drive field enablement: objection handling, association-member messaging, and case stories.
Measurement & Optimization
- Define KPIs, instrumentation, and reporting cadence; run quarterly business reviews with top partners.
- Track and improve pipeline velocity, partner-influenced revenue, and retention/expansion from association-originated accounts.
- A/B test offers, content, and channels; sunset low-yield engagements and scale winners.
QualificationsRequired
- 6-10+ years in partnerships, business development, channel/alliances, or B2B demand generation (association experience strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to activate sustainability or ESG aligned- partnerships that generate business demand.
- Background in sustainability and related programs and regulations. Strong understanding of sustainability issues:
- Circularity
- Carbon
- Climate reporting/disclosure
- Multi-Attribute Sustainability programs
- Sustainable operations
- Demonstrated success closing and scaling association or ecosystem partnerships that generate qualified pipeline and revenue.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate sustainability requirements into compelling partner offerings.
- Excellent stakeholder management across Government Affairs, Legal, Marketing, and Sales.
Preferred
- Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., climate disclosure rules, emissions standards, ESG reporting requirements).
- Familiarity with policy/advocacy calendars, RFPs, and procurement cycles.
- Strong data orientation: cohort analysis, channel ROI, multi-touch attribution.
- Event strategy and speaking/thought leadership experience.
- Strong sustainability storytelling and event programming- capabilities.
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of X% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
