About the Position

The Senior Associate will provide a wide range of advisory and analytical services to a US government agency and its staff on key areas of operation, including management of the agency's investment pipeline; managing and improving investment operations; and, coordinating business development both domestically and abroad.

This position will include providing direct administrative, technical, and research support to special projects and partnerships across the agency, including collaboration with internal staff and external partners.
Responsibilities
  • The Senior Associate will support the effective management of the agency's investment pipeline to ensure the timely execution of projects that are aligned with key strategic priorities and poised to deliver significant development impact. This includes collecting and analyzing information related to the pipeline, supporting regular pipeline reviews with leadership, project tracking and monitoring, and ensuring necessary information is available for decision makers.
  • The Senior Associate will also support the development and implementation of operational strategies and process improvements with the aim of delivering better investment outcomes, increasing efficiency, and providing superior experience for clients. This work will be done in collaboration with other internal and may focus on areas such as transaction review, investment process, and portfolio monitoring, The Senior Associate will be responsible for delivering meaningful and actionable analyses and recommendations, which can be implemented to improve business performance.
  • May be assigned special projects, including support for meetings, conferences domestically and overseas; partnership engagements with other development finance institutions and investors; developing communications products that highlight the agency's efforts (e.g., blogs, articles, talking points, press releases); and engagement the interagency on strategic/priority transactions. Examples of specific work products include market landscape analyses designed to inform agency leadership, PowerPoint decks, briefing memos, and talking points in preparation for events, meetings and business development opportunities, blog posts, and drafts of articles.

Other responsibilities would also include:

Onboarding and Training Development:
  • Develop a comprehensive onboarding program for agency personnel designated for overseas offices.
  • Implement a training curriculum that includes cultural sensitivity, local business practices, and Government Agency-specific operational protocols.
  • Customize training materials to cater to the diverse roles within the overseas offices.

Administrative and Operational Management:
  • Draft official communications such as cables and congressional notifications pertinent to the opening and operation of overseas offices.
  • Track the progress of office openings, monitoring security clearances, agency readiness, and personnel onboarding processes.
  • Provide problem-solving support for any issues arising in the administrative and operational setup.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, assisting in the recruitment process for overseas personnel.
  • Craft comprehensive position descriptions for new roles required in overseas offices.
  • Lead and direct cross-functional teams to standardize and document processes for establishing new overseas offices.

Webpage Design and Content Creation:
  • Design an intuitive and informative webpage dedicated to supporting business development coordination.
  • Populate the webpage with essential resources such as templates, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and sector-specific guidance documents.
  • Ensure the webpage content is regularly updated and maintained for relevance and accuracy.

General Support Services:
  • Perform note-taking duties during meetings and compile clear and concise meeting minutes.
  • Generate reports, create presentations, and develop slide decks for various internal and external purposes.
  • Collect and analyze data relevant to the operational effectiveness and business development of overseas
  • Responds to all requests in a timely manner. Replies to email correspondence and phone calls within two business days.
  • Conducts daily duties with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field with a Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related finance or consulting field, including impact investing, development or emerging market finance, investment or business advisory services, or management consulting.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialized experience required include data analysis including strong excel skills, market research, communications, and has a resume demonstrating the ability to perform duties and responsibilities
  • Knowledge and skill in formulating and recommending new policies, processes or strategies.
  • Ability to communicate with skill both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective and cooperative working relationship with representatives internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of management and organizational principles and practices along with knowledge of planning, programming, prioritizing, and skill in gathering data and preparing reports for formal review and analysis.


Dexis pay range for this role: $120,000 USD

When developing a range, Dexis evaluates compensation holistically, triangulating between external market research, our budget for the position, and internal equity to arrive at a figure that is fair and competitive. Offers within this range will be based on an individual candidate's qualification, relevant education and experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.
