Job Description

The Investment Solutions Group (ISG) at Brookfield is responsible for designing and delivering customized investment strategies across the firm's global alternatives platform, including real estate, infrastructure, renewable power, private equity, and credit. The team partners closely with institutional and wealth clients to develop tailored portfolio solutions that align with specific objectives such as income generation, inflation protection, and long-term capital appreciation. ISG plays a central role in product development, portfolio construction, and capital formation, structuring bespoke mandates, commingled vehicles, and strategic partnerships. By leveraging Brookfield's integrated platform, the group connects client needs with investment opportunities, providing differentiated, scalable solutions across global markets.

This positionreports to the heads of the ISG Multi-Asset team.

Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Build and maintain detailed cash flow and valuation models for individual private funds and diversified portfolios, including projections for capital calls, distributions, NAV evolution, and liquidity.
    • Analyze and optimize portfolio construction by modeling deployment schedules, vintage diversification, and reinvestment strategies.
    • Generate investment insights and recommendations through rigorous modeling and scenario analysis, with a focus on private asset behavior across market cycles.
    • Track macroeconomic and sector-specific developments and translate them into impacts on portfolio cash flows, risk exposures, and return expectations.
    • Partner with sector investment teams to incorporate asset-level insights into portfolio construction and cash flow forecasting.
    • Support implementation of strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions across private portfolios.
    • Prepare portfolio analytics, cash flow projections, and performance materials for portfolio management and investment committee discussions.
  • Analysis:
    • Evaluate the benefits and risks of investing across a wide range of private market asset classes, with a focus on underlying cash flow characteristics and return drivers.
    • Develop strategic asset allocations for multi-asset portfolios, incorporating detailed assumptions around cash flows, deployment pacing, return of capital, and reinvestment.
    • Monitor asset class and sector valuations to identify tactical opportunities, with an emphasis on private markets and forward-looking cash flow implications.
    • Conduct asset-level due diligence and investment research across private fund investments, including analysis of fund structures, cash flow profiles, and performance drivers.
  • Client Service and Marketing:
    • Collaborate with client service, marketing, and operations teams to deliver analytics and materials that clearly articulate portfolio construction, cash flow dynamics, and investment strategy.
    • Support client and prospect engagement by presenting portfolio insights, with an emphasis on cash flow visibility, liquidity management, and long-term return expectations.


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent. Graduate degree, CFA or CAIA designation a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant investment experience:
    • Private market experience is required, with working knowledge of private fund accounting
    • Asset allocation experience is considered an advantage
  • Strong quantitative skills including data collection, treatment and analysis
  • Strong skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Bloomberg or FactSet.
  • Effective communicator, both oral and written, with ability to present with clarity, precision and conviction.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and results orientation.
  • Organized, thorough and detail oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a team-based entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.


Travel:
  • Limited travel required.


Base Salary: $125K - $135K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
