Position Summary

Librium Group is seeking a motivated and analytically strong Senior Associate to support federal, state, and municipal clients with complex infrastructure and energy programs. This role is ideal for a mid-career professional with exposure to public private partnerships, infrastructure finance, real assets, or public-sector advisory who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and is eager to contribute to high-impact national programs.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical capability, stakeholder management, strategic communication, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments. You will work closely with senior government officials, private developers, and multidisciplinary teams to advance transactions, evaluate delivery models, and support long-term investment decisions.

This role requires excellent judgment, adaptability, and a professional demeanor capable of navigating dynamic requirements and shifting priorities. This is a hybrid position, with 2-3 days per week at the client site, with additional flexibility for hybrid work. Domestic and international travel may be required, estimated around 10% of total time.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Advisory
  • Support development of public private partnership frameworks, feasibility assessments, value-for-money analyses, and business cases.
  • Conduct market research, financial evaluations, risk assessments, and program structuring activities.
  • Advise clients on project delivery options, procurement pathways, and partnership models.

Project & Transaction Support
  • Assist in the planning, structuring, and execution of complex critical infrastructure transactions.
  • Prepare analytical models, briefing materials, procurement documents, and negotiation support packages.
  • Coordinate across legal, technical, financial, and operational stakeholders to advance project milestones.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to federal and public-sector clients, including senior military and civilian leaders.
  • Lead or facilitate recurring stakeholder engagements, cross-functional working groups, and developer interactions.
  • Prepare executive-level communications, reports, and presentations tailored to senior decision-makers.

Strategic Consulting
  • Develop insights and recommendations that connect financial, technical, and policy considerations.
  • Support organizational planning, governance models, policy development, and implementation strategies.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, internal knowledge products, and firm development initiatives.

Firm Responsibilities
  • Mentor "in the flow" (pairing on models, review passes, slide builds), give specific, level-appropriate feedback on quality, clarity, and "so what."
  • Lead analyses that feed decisions (feasibility, market assessments, financial scenarios, value-for-money style evaluations) and synthesizes the "so what" for Manager approval.
  • Develop repeatable procedures (e.g., status reporting cadence, milestone trackers) that raise the team's baseline and speed.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in consulting, finance, infrastructure projects, or related industries.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling, economic analysis, or program evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with experience preparing documents for senior executive audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, fast-paced consulting environment.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred:
  • Experience working with federal agencies, state/local governments, or public-sector clients.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure procurement, alternative delivery models, and financing mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with energy infrastructure, resilience projects, real estate development, or capital planning.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
