Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to family enterprises, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses while serving as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Support a portfolio of clients of varying size and complexity, delivering high-quality tax advice and coordinating services across multiple engagement teams
  • Review and prepare individual, trust, estate, gift, partnership, and business tax returns, including matters involving family-owned operating businesses and investment entities
  • Lead and mentor associates and tax professionals, reviewing work product, providing technical guidance, and supporting professional development
  • Collaborate with professionals across Asset Management, KPMG Private and other specialty tax groups to deliver integrated solutions for clients
  • Participate in business development initiatives, training programs, thought leadership efforts, and market-facing activities that support the growth of the Family Enterprise practice
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of recent tax experience serving family offices, family enterprises, high-net-worth individuals, trusts and estates, privately held businesses, partnerships, or related clients within a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required; progress towards obtaining a CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of individual income tax, trust taxation, estate and gift taxation, and family office tax matters
  • Experience with partnership taxation, pass-through entities, operating partnerships, and closely held business structures
  • Exposure to asset management, alternative investments, private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, or investment partnership taxation preferred
  • Proven experience managing multiple client engagements and leading client service teams
  • Excellent advisory, compliance, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients and colleagues
