Senior Associate/Associate Manager, Operations - Private Consumer Credit

Locations: NYC | Palm Beach Gardens, FL| Hybrid

About the Role

We are seeking Senior Assoicates and/or Associate Managers within Operations & Private Consumer Credit! You will play a key role in supporting complex operational functions for hedge fund clients through SS&C27s partnership with Lighthouse Investment Partners, LLC, a$20 billion AUM asset management firm.

As a member of the Private Consumer Credit Operations team, you will support the day-to-day operational activities associated with private consumer credit investments and portfolios. This role will work closely with internal teams, investment professionals, clients, counterparties, and external service providers to ensure transactions and portfolio activity are processed accurately and efficiently.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Provide operational support for private consumer credit portfolios and investment activities.
  • Support the processing, settlement, and lifecycle management of private credit transactions.
  • Review and reconcile cash, positions, transactions, and other portfolio activity.
  • Research and resolve cash, position, transaction, and market value discrepancies and exceptions.
  • Monitor operational workflows and ensure transactions are processed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Technology, and other Operations functions.
  • Work with external administrators, custodians, counterparties, lenders, and other service providers to resolve operational issues.
  • Review and validate transaction and portfolio data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support cash activity, including payment processing, funding activity, and cash reporting.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new investments, accounts, and portfolio activity.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and operational records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Participate in projects, system implementations, and process enhancements related to Private Consumer Credit Operations.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and serve as a point of contact for operational matters.
  • For Associate Manager-level responsibilities, provide additional oversight of workflows, assist with issue escalation and resolution, and support junior team members as needed.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor27s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, asset management, lending operations, or a related financial services environment.
  • Experience with operational processes such as transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, cash management, and exception resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow issues through to resolution.

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience supporting private consumer credit, private credit, structured credit, loan operations, or alternative investments.
  • Knowledge of the lifecycle of private credit or consumer credit investments.
  • Experience working with loan servicing platforms, investment accounting systems, or other financial operations technology.
  • Experience researching and resolving complex cash, position, transaction, or valuation discrepancies.
  • Experience working with administrators, custodians, lenders, counterparties, or other external service providers.
  • Experience supporting the onboarding of new investments, accounts, or portfolios.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or strengthening operational controls.
  • For Associate Manager-level candidates, experience providing guidance or oversight to team members, managing complex workflows, and serving as a subject matter resource.
  • Ability to independently manage escalations and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience participating in system implementations, process enhancements, or other operational projects.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

New York: The expected base salary for the position is between $65,000 USD to $115,000 USD.

In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company27s discretion.
