Senior Asset Manager Highpoint Development | Atlanta, GA Overview Highpoint is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to manage Lease-Ups and Asset Management for its Class A Multifamily and BTR portfolio. This role will serve as a
handson owneroperator, responsible for executing business plans across numerous projects and coordinating property performance with development underwriting and execution. Emphasis on
onboarding property management companies for new properties, management of business plan, and communication to company leadership.
The Senior Asset Manager will work closely with the Development Managers and Development Executives on the individual assets and will be responsible for communication of Asset Performance to Company Leadership. All Asset Management responsibilities and project communication will be managed by this role.
This is not a passive portfolio management role. Success requires comfort operating in a
highvolume, fastpaced environment where leasing velocity, rent growth, and execution quality directly drive returns.
Key Responsibilities Asset Start Up and Onboarding - Select and Hire Property Management Company for new Lease Ups
- Develop Start Up and Lease Up budget by coordinating with the development team and property management company
- Coordinate and Manage project turnover process between development, construction and property management
Lease Up Management - Manage property lease ups in accordance with Development Underwriting and Property management budgets
- Manage Lease Up Velocity pace while balancing maximizing rents, and managing concessions to maximize property performance
- Manage transition from property to Lease Up to Stabilized and adjust asset management accordingly.
Asset Management & Business Plan Execution - Serve as the primary owner of assigned assets across Multifamily, BTR, and limited retail.
- Execute approved business plans to drive NOI growth, occupancy, and value creation
- Monitor assetlevel performance against underwriting and proactively adjust strategy as needed
- Own budgeting, forecasting, reforecasts, and variance analysis
- Clearly communicate project performance to Company Leadership
Leasing Strategy & Revenue Generation - Take direct ownership of leasing strategy and execution, including:
- LOI review and negotiation
- Rent setting and concession strategy
- Manage and hold thirdparty property managers accountable for performance and velocity
- Balance deal speed with credit quality and longterm value creation
- Partner closely with internal development team and property management teams.
Investment Sales Collaboration - Work closely with development, finance, accounting, and property management teams
- Support dispositions by providing assetlevel insight, leasing narratives, and performance data
- Contribute to investor reporting, asset reviews, and investment committee materials as needed
Platform Building & Scale - Help improve asset management processes, systems, and workflows as the platform scales
- Reduce singlepointoffailure risk by taking full ownership of assigned portfolios
Qualifications - 6+ years of experience in asset management, principal ownership, or owneroperator environments
- Demonstrated success managing highvolume Multifamily portfolios
- Proven ability to push rents, manage vacancy, and drive NOI growth
- Experience working directly with brokers, property managers, and development/construction teams
- Comfortable operating with limited infrastructure in a development environment
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and leaselevel analysis
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and accountability
