Dewberry is seeking a Senior Architect with experience in managing client programs to join ourPeoria, ILoffice. Experience in project types including Industrial, Commercial Offices, and Institutional work is desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage client relationships is a plus.Must have a professional degree, Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited university and have a minimum of 8-years post graduate work experience.Individuals who are currently licensed or are within 1 year of becoming licensed are preferred.This position offers growth opportunities to a candidate able to expand existing client relationships within this region.

Responsibilities

Successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to engage with clients in determining and responding to their capital program needs. Candidate be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and possess the technical knowledge to put buildings together and maintain design intent while also offering design improvement. Must be proficient in leading the development of construction documents including drawings and specifications. Ability to take minimal instruction and go forward with projects or project components. Shall have the desire and abilityto understand full project information from design through construction while also managing information regarding the client27s larger facility improvement programs.

  • Responsible for managing client relationships at the project level and remaining aware of annual facility improvement plans.
  • Ability to assess and communicate resourcing needs to successfully support client programs
  • Responsible for leading and developing detailed design and production of documents from schematic through construction phases.
  • Perform code analysis.
  • Assist designers and project managers in conceptual input on assigned projects.
  • Provide assigned collateral duties related to the operation of the team.
  • Assist with specifications development by performing material, product selection and research.
  • Responsible for monitoring of scope, schedule and budget on architectural aspects of projects.
  • Responsible for developing architectural work plans and tasking, supervision and mentoring of assigned project personnel.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • A professional degree in Architecture preferred anda minimum of8years of experience is required.
  • Professional registration as an Architect is required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required.

The projected range for this position is $120,000-$157,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.

Must have a valid driver27s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
