Your RoleKey responsibilities in your new role
- Provide technical support to customers during the evaluation and development of systems related to automotive Ethernet PHYs
- Perform hands-on bring-up and debugging of customer boards and evaluation kits to replicate and resolve issues
- Track, monitor, and follow up on customer technical issues to ensure timely resolution
- Prepare and deliver application training sessions and support trade show demonstrations
- Develop customer-facing technical materials, including integration guides, application notes, API documentation, and training content
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 10%)
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product management, design engineering, and quality assurance, to align product capabilities with customer needs
Your ProfileQualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or Systems Engineer within automotive or Ethernet applications, including hands-on debugging
- Strong understanding of SerDes protocols and interfaces such as XFI/10GBASE-R, USXGMII, SGMII/RGMII, xxBASE-T1, I2C, and MDC/MDIO
- Proficiency in C and Python, with experience in scripting and software development
- Experience reviewing schematics and PCB layouts
- Familiarity with Ethernet PHYs (1000BASE-T1 / Multi-GigBASE-T1) and bridge products
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, self-driven, and team-oriented mindset
In the United States, it is required to disclose a salary range to applicants. The Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate in the United States is:
San Jose, CA: Minimum of $133,680.00 Salary per year/ Maximum of $183,810.00 Salary per year
In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
