Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis

Role Overview

The Senior Analyst, FP&A will be a key member of the Mitsubishi Power Americas Corporate Finance organization, supporting financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and interpretation of financial results for Mitsubishi Power Americas Group, headquartered in Lake Mary, FL. The analyst will work closely with FP&A leadership and business partners to support core FP&A processes and contribute to reporting, performance analysis, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate core competencies including being action-oriented, a change champion, customer-focused, committed to developing self and others, and taking ownership.
  • Support the evaluation and measurement of operational and strategic performance by performing analysis, preparing reports, and contributing to process improvement, data transformation, automation, and visualization efforts.
  • Build strong partnerships across finance to enhance communication, collaboration, and understanding of business risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with business leaders to monitor budget performance, enforce financial accountability, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison with the parent company in Japan to communicate financial information and support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Develop insightful presentations that highlight key analysis, recommended actions, and decision points for leadership.
  • Report directly to the FP&A Director.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field; or at least five (5) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong financial expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and performance management tools such as Hyperion or OneStream.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and influence effectively, including at the executive level.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities with a forward-looking mindset.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and ability to perform in a dynamic environment while driving results.
