Portfolio Construction ManagerRole OverviewThe Portfolio Construction Manager (PCM) is responsible for safe, high-quality, clean, and schedule-aligned construction execution across a portfolio of Mitsubishi Power projects assigned to a strategic customer. The PCM provides portfolio governance, customer leadership, and field execution oversight while partnering closely with Project Managers, leads Site Managers and field personnel, and serves as the senior construction interface with customers, partners, and Mitsubishi Power leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary construction interface for customers, EPC and consortium partners, project teams, and senior leadership.
- Lead construction execution strategy and priorities across the assigned customer portfolio and provide portfolio-level visibility of performance, risks, and recovery actions.
- Partner with Project Managers to align construction scope, resources, schedules, milestones, change management, and commercial objectives.
- Oversee construction execution from mobilization through turnover, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cleanliness, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, coach, and support Site Managers, Technical Field Advisors, and other field personnel during critical project phases.
- Drive closure of safety observations, corrective actions, NCRs, punch list items, and quality issues.
- Apply portfolio governance, reporting standards, risk management practices, and escalation processes across all assigned projects.
- Conduct site inspections, readiness assessments, and field observations to validate safety, progress, and construction quality.
- Support forecasting, resource planning, budget adherence, documentation, project closeout activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical discipline preferred; extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 7 years of experience leading construction, site management, field execution, or project delivery activities in power generation, industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or related environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across customers, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, safety, quality management, schedule execution, risk mitigation, and commercial interfaces.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage field teams, customers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% as required.
- Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of relevant industry experience, OSHA 30 certification, PMP or equivalent credential, knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and experience in EPC or power generation projects.
