OTP Application Engineer II

Role Overview

The OTP Application Engineer Level II is responsible for coordinating and tracking the engineering activities of Outage Technologies and Processes (OTP) Power Skills. Responsible for planning the Generator Bulletins (GBs) associated with jobs being quoted. Drives business excellence by improving the tracking and execution of the GB's by pre-planning packages during the GB creation. Responsible for process turnover and revalidation to the project management. Maintain and track generator parts order and disposition Engineering Service Requests (ESRs) related to generator parts. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Create and maintain financial information in engineering folders and develop Excel-based tracking tools to monitor time spent by job task, compile data, and develop algorithms based on tasks and unit type.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, OTP Generator Service Engineering, site leads, Mitsubishi Generator, Long-Term Service Agreement Program Managers, and Operations Managers to track Generator Bulletin performance and ensure parts are ordered on time for outage requirements.
  • Maintain and update Generator Bulletins in Windchill; develop unit- and outage-specific work scopes and required parts lists.
  • Track generator parts quotes through third-party vendors, maintain parts orders, develop bills of materials, and disposition Engineering Service Requests related to generator parts and Generator Bulletins.
  • Manage workflow with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and changing priorities while supporting departmental and company goals.
  • Comply with safety policies and company procedures, communicate effectively, protect confidential information, contribute to a positive team environment, and maintain honesty and integrity.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a relevant field; or corresponding field experience plus 10+ years of experience in a related industry or operations projects.
  • Proficiency with development, authoring, and content management tools.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Present information to managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Strong analytical skills related to engineering problem solving.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Windchill, project management, spreadsheet, word processing, email, graphics, technical diagram, flowchart, and scheduling software.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel 15%.
