Job DescriptionThe OpportunityWe are seeking a top-tier, established research leader to take the reins of our Software franchise and elevate it to the next level. This is a seat with a proven track record of producing industry-leading, market-moving voices, and we're prepared to make this the most lucrative and highest-visibility Software research seat on the Street.
This role is built for a proven producer: someone with an existing following, an established institutional client base, and the market credibility to walk in and immediately command attention. In return, you get outsized economics, full autonomy over your research franchise, and a firm that will actively invest in building your personal brand alongside your P&L.
What You Will Do- Publish bold, differentiated, high-conviction calls that move stocks, drive headlines, and set the narrative for the sector
- Cultivate direct, C-suite-level relationships with the most important companies and management teams in Software
- Build, mentor, and lead a team positioned as the undisputed authority on Software
- Design and headline proprietary client events, flagship conferences, and expert network sessions that draw top-tier institutional attendance
- Leverage the firm's national platform, brand, and sales force to expand your institutional following and personal brand simultaneously
- Serve as a firm ambassador across media, conferences, and digital/social platforms, with full institutional backing
- Operate with the visibility, resources, and support of a firm that treats its top analysts as its most valuable asset
Experience and Skills- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree, MBA, or CFA strongly preferred
- A proven, established senior-level research producer with a demonstrable following among institutional investors
- Deep, authoritative expertise in the Software sector, with a track record of bold, market-moving calls
- Strong institutional client relationships and a track record of top rankings (Institutional Investor, StarMine, or equivalent)
- Substantial sell-side or buy-side Equity Research background with proven analytical capabilities
- Active FINRA Series 86 and 87 licenses required
- Expert-level financial modeling, valuation, and analytical rigor
- Track record of independent, differentiated research that has driven investment decisions
- Exceptional communication skills: equally compelling in a research note, a client meeting, or a live TV interview

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $250,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance.
