Position Overview

As a Senior Analyst, Contracts, you must demonstrate strong potential to lead complex and often contentious negotiations over time. You will be responsible for supporting the Invenergy Contracts team’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Build Transfer (BT), and Development Transfer (DT) negotiation efforts for renewable energy projects with third parties.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to remain highly organized, communicate clearly across multiple functions of the organization, and demonstrate comfort navigating conflict, along with a natural curiosity to understand the broader picture of what it takes to develop and construct utility-scale renewable energy projects. Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the Contracts team in the preparation and negotiation of PPA, BT, and DT agreements.

  • Coordinate with Development, Finance, Engineering, Legal, and other functional groups to prepare exhibits and other documentation related to commercial transactions.

  • Create and maintain data rooms used to exchange transaction documents with third parties.

  • Assist the commercial team with gathering, organizing, and sharing due diligence materials requested by transaction counterparties.

  • Support Invenergy’s RFP responses related to PPA, BT, and DT transactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of wind, solar, thermal, and energy storage power systems.

  • Experience reviewing or supporting negotiation of complex commercial agreements.

  • Prior work in a related field.

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-performing, team-oriented environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to engage and contribute in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt fluidly to shifting priorities.

Base Pay

$72,000.00 - $93,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
