Overview

Retail and Consumer Goods organizations are reimagining how work gets done as Artificial Intelligence (AI) transforms the store, frontline, corporate office, supply chain, merchandising, marketing, and customer experience. As a Senior AI Workforce Specialist supporting Retail and Consumer Goods customers, you will engage customers to identify impactful AI opportunities, transform the employee experience, and unlock new business value. You will orchestrate Microsoft specialists, account teams, partners, and technical resources to translate customer priorities into compelling AI Workforce solutions and accelerate opportunities from vision to successful customer and sales outcomes.

As the Senior AI Workforce Digital Specialist, you will be a solution sales expert within our enterprise sales organization, working closely with an enterprise customer roster. You will collaborate with a virtual team of solution engineers, partners and consulting resources to advance the sales process and consistently exceed solution sales targets in your assigned accounts. Your role is pivotal in helping customers navigate their business challenges, recommending solutions tailored to their unique requirements, and securing new business that results in unparalleled customer value and satisfaction.

You will drive the day-to-day execution of Microsoft's strategic business priorities, lead AI-ready productivity & security transformation conversations and sell best-in-class cloud services and platforms to our managed customers. Your exceptional sales acumen, understanding of enterprise needs, and ability to build customer relationships will be instrumental in achieving sales targets and driving customer success. Responsibilities
  • Sales Execution - Articulate the value proposition of AI Workforce solutions. Target business decision makers with business value insights and industry trends to prospect and qualify opportunities. Drive industry-based solutions with business value insights. Act as a thought leader across solution areas to advise customers across business functions on digital transformation.
  • Bring an industry-first perspective to customer engagements, applying knowledge of Retail and Consumer Goods business priorities and transformation trends. Connect AI Workforce capabilities to opportunities across frontline and store operations, corporate functions, merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and other key business functions.
  • Lead AI Workforce transformation conversations with business decision makers using consultative selling, discovery, business-value storytelling, customer scenarios, and solution demonstrations. Help customers identify high-value opportunities across Microsoft Copilot, agents, and AI-powered employee experiences to transform how work gets done.
  • Scaling and Collaboration: Leads the sales orchestration to proactively drive deal closure. Work with your pursuit team and scale through partners.
  • Technical Expertise: You will initiate conversations with solution engineers, share best practices and key competitor knowledge across solution areas acting as a subject matter expert to make recommendations on pursuit or withdrawal decisions.
  • Sales Excellence: Manages the end-to-end sales and delivery success of the assigned territory; conducts forecasting for accounts and develops a portfolio and territory plan to drive intentional selling aligned with strategic priorities aimed at maintaining levels of client satisfaction.
  • Travel Requirements: This is a digital-first sales role, with customer and team engagement conducted primarily virtually. Travel is expected to be 0-25% and may include strategic customer engagements, industry events, and team meetings.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • 2+ years of solution sales or consulting services sales experience.


Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (e.g., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR 8+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • 3+ years of solution sales or consulting services sales experience
  • 1+ year(s) of experience knowledge of Retail, Consumer Goods, or related industries preferred.


Digital Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $40.96 - $80.96 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $60.96 - $86.11 per hour.
