Full Job Description
Senior AI Enablement Specialist

rennie is hiring a Senior AI Enablement Specialist to help teams improve how work gets done - using AI, automation, business systems, and process redesign to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Working directly with leaders and teams, you will challenge assumptions about how well current workflows are performing, uncover the real source of friction or missed opportunity, and translate ambiguous problems into clear, practical recommendations. You will help determine what teams can test or implement themselves, what requires external expertise, and what needs deeper involvement from you or our Tech team.

You will also be hands-on: personally building and implementing select lightweight solutions to make opportunities tangible, leading approved initiatives through implementation and adoption, and evolving rennie's organization-wide AI enablement program.

This is not a traditional Business Analyst role or a pure AI development role. It will appeal to someone who enjoys moving between business problem-solving, hands-on experimentation, and working alongside people through change.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Work with leaders and teams through structured reviews to understand how work really gets done - and where it could be simpler, smarter or more effective
  • Challenge assumptions about current-state effectiveness and get beneath the initial request to define the real business problem
  • Bring an AI-first mindset without assuming AI is the answer - considering automation, existing systems, process redesign, and other alternatives
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into clear recommendations, including solution options, future-state workflows, implementation approaches, success measures and adoption plans
  • Maintain a clear portfolio of AI and workflow-improvement opportunities and bring forward recommendations on priorities, sequencing, investment and resourcing
  • Determine what can be tested or implemented within the team, what requires vendor expertise, and what needs Tech team involvement because of complexity, integration, security, data or scalability
  • Personally build and test selected lightweight AI-enabled solutions, automations, agents and prototypes to validate opportunities and demonstrate potential value
  • Lead approved AI and operational improvement initiatives from planning through implementation and adoption, working with business owners, technical specialists and external partners as needed
  • Plan and evolve rennie's company-wide AI learning and adoption program, helping people build the confidence and skill to use AI and other technology solutions well
  • Create practical frameworks, standards and ways of working that improve solution decisions and help us repeat what works
  • Define and track success measures, using evidence to determine whether changes are delivering real value and adjusting when they are not.

WHAT YOU BRING

Your experience may come from operations consulting, business analysis, process improvement, digital transformation, or AI enablement. More important than the path is what you have accomplished.
  • Hands-on experience applying generative AI, structured prompting, AI agents, automation and/or low-code/no-code tools to personally build and implement solutions that delivered demonstrable business value
  • A strong record of working with leaders and teams to uncover the real problem behind a business request and identify meaningful opportunities for improvement
  • Experience analyzing how work is performed, including processes, systems, data, ownership, handoffs, capacity, cycle time, tool usage, quality and stakeholder experience
  • Working knowledge of data, privacy, security, system integration and AI reliability, with the judgment to recognize limitations and involve technical specialists when needed
  • Experience translating ambiguous problems into practical recommendations, future-state workflows, implementation approaches, success measures and adoption plans
  • Experience leading cross-functional operational improvements or technology-enabled initiatives through implementation and adoption, while navigating different priorities, dependencies and change impacts
  • Experience contributing to organization-wide AI enablement, digital adoption, or change initiatives
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, influence without formal authority and help people adopt and sustain new tools and ways of working

HOW YOU WORK
  • You stay focused on the business outcome, not the novelty of the technology
  • You work alongside people to understand their work, test ideas, and build practical solutions with them
  • You stay hands-on with AI, continually experimenting and learning so you can bring informed thinking to potential solutions
  • You build trust quickly, ask direct questions, and challenge assumptions regardless of who holds them
  • You create clarity from ambiguity and move work forward without waiting for perfect information
  • You balance high standards with practicality, developing solutions people can realistically adopt and sustain
  • You take ownership through to the outcome, staying close enough to see what is working and change what is not

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This role is primarily office-based, with some flexibility to work remotely one day per week, per our current practice. Our home office is located just outside of Granville Island in Vancouver.
  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Most work takes place during regular business hours. Occasional schedule flexibility will be required to work with teams, lead learning opportunities, or support an implementation.
