As Senior Advisor, Internal Communications, Canada, you will be at the heart of the action: a strategic partner to leadership, a creator of engaging experiences and a driver of innovative initiatives, including internal events, that strengthen employees’ sense of belonging and generate meaningful impact. 

Your next challenge is here! Reporting to the Manager, Internal Communications, Canada, you will play a key role in the strategy, planning, creation of impactful content and execution of internal communications initiatives. 

As part of your role, you will also be a steward of the AtkinsRéalis brand and visual identity with internal audiences. You will collaborate with leaders to identify the most effective approaches, channels and messages to align campaigns, foster collaboration across teams and strengthen employee engagement across Canada.

Yourrole

As a member of the Internal Communications team in Canada, you will be called upon to:

  • Develop and roll out internal communications and employee engagement initiatives across channels, including articles, newsletters, videos, webcasts and more.  
  • Manage and deliver engaging employee experiences by planning and executing strategic events, including launches, leadership meetings and employee engagement initiatives.  
  • Work closely with External Communications and Marketing teams to develop and implement integrated communications plans.  
  • Advise and support leaders in preparing their communications, including key messages, speaking notes and strategic content.
  • Identify fresh angles and propose engaging concepts to support organizational priorities.
  • Demonstrate innovation and ideation by developing creative approaches that capture attention and inspire employee buy-in.
About you

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in internal or corporate communications, ideally in a matrix organization.
  • Experience in an advisory role supporting senior leadership.
  • A demonstrated ability to simplify complex and technical content.
  • A strong team spirit and proven ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high level of autonomy and the ability to take ownership of projects with limited guidance.
  • Strong expertise in planning and managing corporate events.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple stakeholders. 
  • Creativity, innovation and the ability to propose solutions adapted to complex situations.
  • Excellent writing skills in both French and English, along with strong verbal communication skills in both languages.*

* Member of the Canadian or Global Leadership Team: This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec. 

Given the nature of our activities and our international presence, excellent proficiency in both French and English is required.
