Job Class: 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst

Salary Range: $122,761.60-$149,281.60/annually

Appointment Type: Permanent Exempt (what does this mean?)

Length of Appointment: 3 years

Calendar: Full Time / Full Year

As the 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst supporting Facilities Design and Construction (FDC) you will report to the Operations Finance and Administration Executive Director, and lead the work of one to two analysts on the team. You will be a part of the Operations Finance and Administration Team and support the District in the coordination and implementation of school construction projects. In addition to other work streams, this team handles budgeting and accounting in compliance with school accounting practices. This position supports the Finance and Administrative Executive Director in liaising with the District's Business Services Department as well as the FDC Program Director with financial reporting and project budget support.

Essential Duties

The duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to the job code/class and are not intended to be an inclusive or exhaustive list.

As the 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst, you will:

  • Lead other staff in the support of all financial and budget activities related to the FDC Program, including day-to-day as well as annual accounting, budget development, and fiscal analysis
  • Conduct portfolio level analysis of facilities projects funded by a variety of funding sources
  • Understand constraints and complexities of various facility funding sources
  • Directly support FDC Program Project Managers to manage budget and cashflow needs for capital projects
  • Assist the Executive Director of Finance and Admin and Head of Operations to prepare regular financial reports and summaries as required
  • Coordinate and facilitate processes related to the set up of construction contracts and payment of construction-related invoices
  • Support the preparation of required information as needed for any financial and performance audits
  • Act as a liaison to the Budget Services, Fiscal Services, Purchasing Department, Bond department, etc. for intradepartmental matters of concern to the FDC Program
  • Performs other support related duties as required and directed.

  • Outstanding organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills including GSuite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms), Financial Systems, and Excel


Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three(3) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work. Qualifying professional-level analytical work includes analysis, development, administration, and reporting in major programs and functions of an organization in the areas of budgets, contracts, grants, policy, or other functional areas related to the duties of positions in the 182X Class series.

Substitution

Possession of a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) from an accredited college or university with major coursework in specialized subject matter areas such as public or business administration, management, business law, contract law, public policy, urban studies, economics, statistical analysis, finance, accounting or other fields of

study closely related to the essential functions of positions in the Class series may be substituted for the required one (1) year of experience.

Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of 2 years). Thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units equal one year.
