Full Job Description
This Actuarial Valuations role offers a strong foundation in financial analysis and management reporting within a dynamic reinsurance environment. The individual will be responsible for analyzing financial results across US GAAP, Bermuda EBS/BSCR, and embedded value frameworks and translating those results into clear and insightful management reporting materials. Additional responsibilities include supporting the annual plan and forecast cycles, contributing to the assumption review process, and helping to improve and automate reporting workflows. This role provides meaningful exposure to senior management and broad collaboration across functions including close partnership with Finance and Investments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the quarterly financial reporting production cycle across US GAAP, Bermuda EBS/BSCR, and embedded value frameworks through the analysis of modeled results and production of the reporting package
  • Monitor and refine existing analytics and reports to ensure continued relevance and alignment with evolving business needs
  • Identify opportunities to enhance, streamline, and automate reporting processes and analytical frameworks
  • Support the onboarding of new reinsurance treaties and products including the design and implementation of controls and analytics frameworks
  • Support the annual actuarial assumption review process including experience analysis, assumption assessment, and quantification of financial impacts
  • Support the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external audit requests related to actuarial reporting
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives across the actuarial and finance functions
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, or related field required.
  • A minimum of two years of actuarial experience is required.
  • ASA designations are preferred.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with US GAAP (LDTI) and/or EBS/BSCR.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Some familiarity with R, Python, and/or comparable programming language, and/or actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, MG-ALFA) preferred.
  • Ability to anticipate, problem-solve, take action, and adapt in a fast-paced, growing business.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in support of key initiatives.
