Full Job Description
The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the below outlined duties.

This is a hybrid reporting schedule with 3 days per week in office at our Atlanta Headquarters located in the Buckhead area.

Responsibilities:
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and post journal entries to general ledger accounts to accurately record business transactions.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining general ledger account reconciliations with supporting schedules and documentation on various accruals for payroll, worker's compensation, legal, accounting, consulting, and other accrued expenses.
  • Manage inter-company process including analyzing intercompany activity and performing correcting entries.
  • Works closely with sales team to analyze sales rebate data to calculate, enter and post monthly rebate journal entries.
  • Prepares schedules, analyses and other PBC request items for annual financial audit.
  • Adhering to month end financial reporting calendar.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries.
  • Timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Support continued company integration and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborates with shared service center to transition specified accounting activities and manage continued relationship and reviews.
  • Perform and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university desired with 2-5 years' related experience in accounting.
  • CPA and previous public accounting experience required.
  • SAP, Oracle, Hyperion experience preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office and advanced knowledge with Excel.
  • Experience working in multiple accounting systems and multi-plant locations a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under time constraints, meet deadlines and work independently.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from managers, controllers, and other teams.
