Full Job Description
The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for select assets across the Vantage network and oversight of more junior members, The Senior Accountant works as part of the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and analysis. This role is responsible for supporting the finance team by effectively managing day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities, as well as providing corporate and network stakeholders with timely, accurate, and meaningful financial reporting and analysis. This position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically and offer solutions with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities:
  • Prepares and/or reviews accounting transactions for the Corporate Office and select assets across the Vantage network
  • Prepares and/or reviews monthly operating financial statements and associated working papers and reconciliations
  • Reviews information provided to the Financial Reporting and FP&A teams for preparation of monthly Financial and Management Reports
  • Provides training and first line of oversight for more junior staff members
  • Liaises with network business leaders to resolve accounting-related issues
  • Works directly with Vantage's auditors and can lead site audits with minimal assistance
  • Provides insightful financial analysis, ideas and solution-driven contributions at weekly group meetings
  • Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned


About you

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, Finance or other related discipline.
  • Experience in ASC606.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in industry, with a focus on internal accounting and analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Public accounting experience is an asset.
  • CPA designation considered an asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills, plus proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics NAV (Navision) is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is required.
  • Intercompany accounting experience a strong plus.
  • Confident, energetic, and independent, with a strong ability to ask questions and learn on the job.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and maintain efficient accounting processes and effective financial controls.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and network stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Financial reporting experience with US GAAP is considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $94,000 annually.

Work Location: This position can be worked remotely from Canada or the US. With a preference for those located near Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Chicago, New York City or Boston. Occasional travel may be required for this role. The application deadline is June 26, 2026.
