Senior Accountant

Location: On-site in Palm Beach Gardens, FLor Remote US (High preference of on-site in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. If not local to this area, Eastern time zone location if preferred.)

Base Salary Rate: $87,975 - $103,500 per year

About This Role

We are seeking a high potential, results-oriented, Senior Accountant to perform financial accounting activities in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP). This position will oversee accounting activities for headquarters, including but not limited to: lease accounting under ASC 842, external debt under ASC 470, derivatives under ASC 815, consolidation of monthly reporting deliverables and review of balance sheet. Responsible for developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures, control processes, and financials. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills and ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages and analyzes activities in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) to control financial resources and compliance with regulations, laws, and reporting activities.
• Prepares, examines, and conforms to procedures for general ledger preparation and project accounting activities.
• Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
• Develops and documents accounting policies, procedures, control processes, and financials.
• Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations in order to accurately represent financial standing.
• Supports internal and external audits for process compliance and timely completion.
• Leads small scale projects.
• This person will manage the CoStar lease database, including lease administration tasks related to equipment leases (e.g., entering/abstracting lease contracts, working with operating/local entities to obtain all new contracts, modifications, etc. on a monthly basis).

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years' Accounting experience
• Candidate must be analytical and must have the ability to think critically

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical accounting skills/experience (highly preferred) - if technical accountants apply for this position, please note lease administration work will be a part of your job responsibilities
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance or MBA
• CPA or CMA
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Hyperion Financial Management system knowledge a plus
