Full Job Description
Job Summary:

This position will support the accounting and financial operations of our growing renewable energy portfolio, as well as other IGS Energy ancillary businesses. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and insight across businesses such as Solar and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG).

Primary Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Audit
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in line with GAAP
  • Analyze variances and provide explanations to management
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation


Project & Asset Accounting
  • Account for capital expenditures (CAPEX) related to renewable energy projects
  • Track project costs, including development, construction, and operational phases
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation


Accounts & Transactions
  • Process journal entries, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities as needed
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury functions


Analysis & Stakeholder Support
  • Provide support for budgeting/forecasting processes
  • Collaborate with partners across different business segments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation


Required Skills:

Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA (or working toward) preferred, but not required


Experience
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Familiarity with project accounting and fixed asset accounting
  • Construction accounting experience a plus


Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains) and AI tools a plus


Soft Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision and collectively with team members, internal and external business partners.

Salary Range:
$73,870.00 - $118,190.00
*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
