Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, assisting with financial reporting, supporting audits, and improving accounting processes. This role will collaborate with the AP/AR teams The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Job Duties:
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce relevant reports
  • Support the Controller during audits and budget cycles
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices
  • Partner with AP/AR teams and provide guidance to improve workflow and accuracy
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Five plus years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting required
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload effectively required
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines required
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 25 lbs or more required
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk for four plus hours at a time required
