Job Description
OC2 Brands is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support our accounting and finance operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledger activity, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and control accounts, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will also assist with the company's Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
Experience and Skills
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and reconcile assigned balance sheet and control accounts.
* Prepare journal entries and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
* Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses.
* Review balance sheet reconciliations and analyze account activity and variances.
* Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Support the preparation of financial reporting packages.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, AP/AR, HR, Procurement, and external advisors, to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong general ledger accounting and month-end close experience.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
* Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Experience improving accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and system efficiencies.
Work Location
This is a hybrid position, with three days per week in our downtown Chicago headquarters and two days per week working remotely.
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including internal equity, market data, the candidate's qualifications- including but not limited to specialty skills, prior relevant industry experience, relevant degrees or certifications. The salary range estimate below is inclusive of all departments, and offered salaries may vary within the given range between departments. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is $ 75.000-90,000 annualized and other competitive benefits.
