Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role you would be responsible for working on all aspects of the monthly close to ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple global business units. The Senior Accountant would report directly to the Assistant Controller.
This is a
NYC-based hybrid role located in Midtown South. To support team alignment, we work in-office
Tuesday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
What You'll Do:- Analyze and maintain accurate general ledger accounts inclusive of account reconciliations
- Daily bank reconciliations and management
- Fixed Asset module management & analysis
- Prepaid Expenses module management & analysis
- A/R and A/P subsidiary weekly reconciliation
- Assist with Intercompany reconciliation and billing
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules as part of month end close
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile various monthly balance sheets accounts
- Maintain and audit master data within Sage Intacct, ensuring the accuracy of vendor, client, and employee records across all business units.
- Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues as they occur in a timely manner
- Partner with other departments to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting, and resolve reconciling differences
- Prepare supporting documentation for annual audit
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and assist with special projects as needed
Desired Skills and Experience:- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required for this role
- Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP; experience navigating the nuances of US-based financial reporting
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; dependable with deliverables and deadlines; able to multi-task
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs)
- Direct experience with Sage Intacct is highly preferred.
- Self-motivated; with the confidence to collaborate across global functions and provide clear financial insights to various levels of management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and judgment.

Total Compensation: - Base Salary: $90,000 - $105,000
