Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end close entries
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations
  • Calculate and enter monthly revenue distribution
  • Process revenue payments and support related activities
  • Prepare annual property tax filings and manage accruals
  • File monthly severance taxes and process payments
  • Maintain vendor and select master files in ERP
  • Assist with tracking unclaimed property and work with tax consultants
  • Support financial reporting and compile data for reports
  • Take on additional duties from Controller as needed.

Full Job Description
Position Summary:

Arsenal Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant II with a strong background in general accounting functions who is also willing to gain or expand knowledge of Oil and Gas accounting.

Full-time hybrid schedule to include work in the Company's Wexford, PA office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare entries to assist with month end close process
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations to assure accuracy of ledger
  • Calculation and entry of monthly operated revenue distribution
  • Processing of revenue payments as well as support for land and AP payment processing
  • Prepare annual property tax filing and track related accruals and payments
  • Monthly severance tax filing and payment processing
  • Maintenance of vendors and select master files within ERP
  • Assist with unclaimed property tracking and correspondence with tax consultants
  • Assist with financial reporting
  • Compiling data for other regular reporting requirements
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Controller


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements):
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5 plus years prior accounting experience
  • Microsoft Office programs including intermediate or advanced Excel knowledge
  • Enertia knowledge preferred
  • Oil and Gas accounting experience preferred
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of employees within organization including Executive Management. Must also be able to interact with vendors and other members within the industry.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk, ability to bend over and reach above head, ability to lift under 20 pounds, ability to view computer screen for extended periods of time, and ability to type on a keyboard.
