Full Job Description
We're looking for a curious, analytical, and hands-on Senior Accountant who enjoys understanding how a business operates, asking questions, and using financial information to drive better decisions. This is an opportunity to work directly with the CFO, gain exposure to all aspects of the business, and play a key role in improving financial processes, forecasting, reporting, and operational decision-making.

If you're the type of person who likes digging into the numbers to understand the story behind them, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making an impact beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Be Working On

As a key member of the accounting team, you'll help ensure the accuracy of financial information while contributing insights that support the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CFO to support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis.
  • Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of supporting schedules.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify trends that impact business performance.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial reporting packages used by leadership to make strategic decisions.
  • Review daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable activity, customer billings, and cash receipts.
  • Process weekly payroll, including commission calculations and related general ledger entries.
  • Monitor cash balances and assist with short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting.
  • Review staff accountant work and support inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support year-end close and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Provide support for administrative and HR-related activities as needed.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Direct partnership with an experienced CFO.
  • Broad exposure across accounting, finance, operations, inventory management, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Opportunity to influence processes and improve how financial information supports business decisions.
  • High-visibility role with exposure to company leadership.
  • Exposure to a capital-intensive business with significant equipment assets, inventory, and operational complexity.
  • Ability to grow beyond traditional accounting responsibilities and become a true business partner.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Naturally curious mindset with a desire to understand business operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys understanding the "why" behind the numbers, wants exposure to the operational side of a growing equipment business, and is looking to expand their skills in forecasting, analysis, and strategic finance while working closely with executive leadership.
