Position Summary
HB Wealth is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role owns day-to-day accounting operations including areas listed in detail below.
The ideal candidate is analytical and dependable, comfortable working at volume without losing accuracy, and interested in improving the processes they run.
Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Corporate Spend (AI Assisted)
• Review and process vendor invoices in Ramp
• Review and code corporate card transactions; follow up on missing documentation and enforce policy
• Manage vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, verification of payment details, and annual 1099 process
Month-End Close & Reconciliations
• Support the monthly close; prepare and post journal entries
• Prepare bank, investment, and clearing account reconciliations for Controller review; research and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain prepaid expense, fixed asset, and depreciation schedules
• Calculate and post accruals; maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Revenue Collection & Accounts Receivable
• Apply cash receipts and record advisory fee revenue to the general ledger
• Reconcile fees collected by the custodian to amounts billed; research and clear variances
• Maintain accounts receivable aging and follow up on unpaid, short-paid, and direct-billed client fees
Records, Process & Support
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Support process improvement and automation initiatives
• Assist with audit requests by gathering schedules and supporting documentation
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification required
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience with a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial data across multiple systems
• Willingness to adopt AI assisted processes
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
• Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Experience in public accounting (audit), wealth management, or a professional services environment preferred
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP/accounting system preferred
• Hands-on experience with Ramp, Bill.com, Coupa, or a comparable AP and spend management platform preferred

Salary Description
$80k - $100k + annual bonus potential
