Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Longwood, FL (Fully Onsite)
Pay Rate: $90,000 - $100,000 / Annually
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. Submit financial reports to divisional leadership, highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring all financial data is accurate and reconciled.
• Lead the reconciliation of key accounts, including Payroll and Payroll Liabilities, Accrued Expenses, Prepaid Inventory, Leases, Fixed Assets, and Intangible Assets. Provide support for other critical corporate reconciliations as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for external auditors, coordinating and providing necessary account information and documentation for audits. Take leadership responsibility for the Client Assistance Listing for assigned areas.
• Review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that corporate charges are properly allocated and expensed within divisional financial statements.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of required tax forms with federal, state, and local agencies. Collaborate with consultants on licensing matters to ensure compliance.
• Identify and resolve transactional errors within the ERP system, working to streamline processes and enhance data integrity across financial operations.
• Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support: Assist in the integration of newly acquired entities, ensuring smooth transitions into corporate accounting systems and processes, and ensuring proper alignment with company financial structures.
• Lead or support special projects aimed at improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function. This includes process optimizations, system upgrades, and other strategic initiatives.
Skills
• GAAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for accurate financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Account Reconciliation: Experience with reconciling key accounts (payroll, assets, liabilities, etc.).
• Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices to improve accounting processes.
• M&A Integration: Experience with due diligence and integrating acquired entities into financial systems.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Time Management & Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Adaptability & Ethics: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and a strong commitment to ethical standards.
Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or MBA (Master of Business Administration) is strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a proven track record in financial reporting, reconciliation, month-end close processes, and auditing.
• Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in Excel and other financial tools for reporting and data analysis.
• ERP System Expertise: Proficiency in navigating ERP systems, such as Sage 100, Sage 300, or Sage Intacct.
• GAAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to ensure compliance in all financial activities
