Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role is responsible for corporate accounting and reporting across a real estate group structure. The Senior Accountant oversees assigned entities, coordinates inputs from multiple stakeholders, and delivers consolidated financial statements, analysis, and internal/external reporting. The role also supports process improvement and training initiatives. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to drive efficiencies while working both independently and collaboratively
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial reporting and analysis- Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for standalone and consolidated entities.
- Consolidate and analyze complex entity structures, including analyzing intercompany transactions, investments, and equity.
- Assess trial balances, subledgers, and other financial results.
- Review internal financial information, including junior work and peer cross-reviews.
- Review and analyze financial information for externally managed investments.
- Prepare management reporting, dashboards, and partnership analytics (e.g., NAV, cash flow, capital activity).
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and overhead analyses.
Close and compliance- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close responsibilities.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of accounting records in accordance with GAAP, including research and application of technical guidance as needed.
- Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and review invoices; investigate and resolve discrepancies where required.
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare supporting documentation.
- Maintain reporting timelines and ensure timely delivery of obligations.
Process improvement and projects- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and reporting enhancements.
- Contribute to team training and development initiatives.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience- CPA or legacy designation with a university degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public practice or a complex consolidation environment.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and the ability to apply technical guidance.
- Advanced Excel and strong systems proficiency; experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
- Experience with financial analysis, management reporting, and audit readiness.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

- Real estate or asset-intensive industry experience
- Familiarity with REALpac
- Knowledge of ASPE framework
- Experience with Yardi, CaseWare
- Exposure to Power BI, automation, or AI tools
$85,000 - $100,000 a year
The annual base pay range for this position will be based on the desired experience level for this role.
