Description We are seeking a highly motivated and technical thinker to join our Corporate Accounting team. The Sr. Accountant is an integral member of our Corporate Accounting team and will be responsible for general ledger and month end responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as well as assisting with internal and external financial reporting. The Sr. Accountant will also interface with subsidiary and division accounting personnel, assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and provide assistance with financial statement disclosures for SEC filings. Our Sr. Accountant position is based in the Walnut Creek, CA corporate office with the ability to work a hybrid-remote schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and support for non-recurring accounting transactions, including intercompany transactions between the subsidiaries and Corporate
- Prepare account reconciliations and complete analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure the accuracy and validity of transactions
- Provide support and guidance to subsidiary business unit accounting teams
- Prepare special projects as requested by management
- Provide support in both the external and SOX audits
- Assist with establishing, implementing and documenting policies and procedures
- Assist in the preparation of 10Q and 10K schedules
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
- 5-6 years' experience in general accounting; manufacturing industry or CPG company a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables and Vlookups), SAP or comparable ERP system strongly preferred; Hyperion a plus
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks as well as problem solve with the ability to work independently

POSITION INFORMATION - This position pays $95,000 - $110,000 per year depending on experience
