Senior Account Manager, Securities Lending

Summary

Join our Securities Lending team as a Senior Account Manager, where you will oversee complex institutional accounts and support high-quality client service across daily operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong client servicing experience, analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems, improve processes, and deliver a consistent client experience in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Major Duties

  • Manage account administration and oversight for complex securities lending clients.

  • Serve as a resource on service processes, procedures, and delivery standards.

  • Anticipate client needs and deliver effective service solutions.

  • Partner on business development, client presentations, and servicing team coordination.

  • Review account objectives and identify opportunities to improve service outcomes.

  • Monitor fund status and assess transaction impact on the master trust.

  • Manage service requests, daily activity, transaction processing, inquiries, and documentation.

  • Oversee action plans and ensure timely execution and follow-up.

  • Coordinate client activity with internal teams and external partners.

  • Ensure accurate fee setup and review.

  • Support service efficiency and process improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor trust operations and accounting activity to support timely client deliverables.

  • Communicate account status, setup updates, and document requirements to clients.

Experience/Knowledge

  • College degree or equivalent experience.

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in client servicing, including 2 to 3 years in an institutional trust environment.

  • Knowledge of institutional trust operations and accounting systems, typically gained through related experience, is required to administer complex master trust and custody accounts.

  • General business and accounting knowledge, gained through coursework or experience, is required to oversee client transactions.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required to identify and resolve account issues.

Salary Range:

$88,900 - 151,100 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
