Full Job Description
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As a Security Specialist III, you'll play a vital role in supporting Innoflight's security operations by maintaining personnel clearances, assisting with audits and inspections, and supporting COMSEC accountability and secure communications. You'll work closely with the Security Manager to ensure compliance with federal regulations, coordinate security education, and contribute to a secure operating environment that supports our national defense mission. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of DCSA requirements and NISPOM standards, and a proactive mindset to identify and resolve security challenges in a dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Maintain Facility Security Records: Update and manage security clearance information in the National Industrial Security System (NISS) to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support Security Audits and Inspections: Assist with DCSA audits, assessments, and self-inspections to uphold National Industrial Security Program (NISP) standards.
  • Manage Personnel Security Processes: Process clearance applications, foreign travel reports, and visit certifications through DISS and NBIS systems.
  • Audit Security Databases: Review and validate personnel records in DISS and NBIS to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Deliver Security Education and Training: Coordinate and conduct security briefings and annual training in alignment with NISPOM requirements.
  • Assist with COMSEC Operations: Support the management and accountability of COMSEC items in accordance with NSA and company procedures.
  • Handle Classified Shipments: Execute the secure shipment and receipt of COMSEC materials, ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody.
  • Travel to Support Secure Operations: Travel up to 25% to deliver secure materials and support off-site security functions as needed.
  • Support Ongoing Security Operations: Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance and maintain the company's industrial security posture.

YOU'RE AWESOME AT:
  • Industrial Security Programs: Demonstrated knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and experience supporting compliance for cleared facilities.
  • Security Systems Expertise: Proficient in using DISS, NBIS, and NISS to manage personnel and facility security records.
  • Clear Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively in a dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience in industrial security, with a strong working knowledge of DISS, NBIS, COMSEC, NISPOM, and DCSA protocols.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply DoD security policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional off-Fridays or weekends as needed.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base salary for this position ranges from $83,732 to $125,598 per year, depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, Innoflight offers a well-rounded compensation package that includes a Profit-Sharing Bonus and a Cash Performance Bonus to reward both individual and company performance.
