Because this role relies on regular in-person collaboration and includes responsibilities that are only supported onsite, it is expected to be performed primarily at a BAE Systems facility. This means the position is considered an onsite role, with work generally conducted at a company location.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure adherence to government and company security policies, providing expert guidance and direction to program teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for US Government Program Security Officers and collaborate closely with program managers.
- Oversee security for prime and subcontractors, including developing and maintaining DD254s and providing essential security guidance.
- Author, implement, and maintain comprehensive program-level security plans, procedures, and instructions.
- Lead formal self-inspections, track corrective actions to completion, and conduct thorough security audits.
- Deliver engaging security education and awareness training, conduct briefings, and provide classification guidance to employees. Investigate and resolve security incidents.
- Contribute to a holistic security posture by supporting other critical disciplines, including Personnel, Physical, Cyber, COMSEC, Document Control, and Visitor Control.
- Participate in after-hours alarm response.
- Willingness to support both Continental US (CONUS) and Outside of the Continental US (OCONUS) test events.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant security experience, or 9 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Deep understanding and practical application of U.S. Government security standards, DoW SAP Manuals, DoW SCI Manuals, and ICD/ICS series directives and standards.
- Familiarity with a broad range of technologies and applications aligned with ICD 705 Technical Specifications.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with program managers and maintain strong working relationships with US Government Program Security Officers.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, make sound judgments, work independently, analyze complex issues, and deliver effective solutions.
- Highly proficient in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly and concisely present complex information to diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills and Education- Demonstrated mastery of ICD-705 guidelines, with practical experience implementing security measures including intrusion detection systems, access control technologies, and TEMPEST requirements for DoW and IC clients.
- Proven ability to navigate and ensure program compliance within complex, multi-level secure environments even in challenging, non-standard situations.
- Ability to independently identify, assess, and resolve unique security challenges with creative solutions that support contract performance while maintaining strict security protocols.
- Possesses a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-tasked environment.
