Full Job Description
Join a dynamic and well versed security team that provides support across several Business Areas within BAE Systems' Electronic Systems sector. The opportunity to be part of the security team, in one of the leading companies in Aerospace and Defense, offers a motivated professional a unique entry point to work across a broad range of activities supporting a diverse portfolio. BAE Systems is looking to hire an Alternate Contractor SAP Security Officer (ACSSO) to support Contractor SAP Security Officers (CSSOs) for multiple programs executed out of our Nashua, NH campus. As the ACSSO, you will work closely with security management and assigned program staff on all aspects of special program security. 3 Administer clearance/access; review submittal packages prior to submission to customer and refer unusual packages to supervisor. 3 Administer security guidelines; work with technical and physical specialist, facilities engineers, and program managers to establish required physical security requirements and have them installed. 3 Read blueprints, contract standards for security and various manuals and directives and ensure appropriate application. 3 Administer Security Practices and Procedures (SPP) for programs and apply industrial security requirements; interpret most requirements from SPP or ISM and implement it with little supervision. 3 Address daily security tasks. (e.g., changing combinations, instructions for guards, courier/destruction activities, arranging support/security for moves, etc.) 3 May prepare and present basic security briefings. 3 Coordinate between program management and other functions to ensure security guidelines are properly implemented and executed and establish a clear relationship of roles and duties. 3 May assist program managers and Division/Group executives by knowing the business area, being involved in new business development from a security perspective. Coordinate between program management and other functions to ensure security guidelines are properly implemented and executed. 3 Ensure all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statues, and regulations as well as company policies and directives. 3 Investigate security incidents, violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken. 3 Ensure Customer compliance requirements are met, maintain 100% readiness for inspections, and assist customers with inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented. 3 Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. 3 Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. 3 Perform other duties as necessary. This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. Required Skills and Education 3 2 or more years of security experience relative to the position and a minimum of a high school diploma. 3 A current, active SECRET security clearance is required. 3 Demonstrate understanding of the DoD SAP Manuals. 3 Knowledge and demonstrated application of the U.S. Government security standards. 3 Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) access. 3 Willing to undergo a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CSP). 3 Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. 3 Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 3 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Preferred Skills and Education 3 Programmatic experience working with applicable US Government regulatory guidance concerning SAP security management to include Risk Management Framework and all Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) relevant to contractor program execution. 3 Experience working with federal security regulations and guidelines, e.g., National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). 3 Facility Security Officer (FSO) and/or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) experience. 3 Certification within critical functional areas is a plus; Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Industrial Security Professional (ISP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Special Program Security Certification (SPSC).
