Allied Universal is currently searching for a Security Manager. The Security Manager will embrace our company's core values. The Security Manager will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services and will act as a liaison between customer, Operation Manager and security officers. Supervise site staff, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Shift: Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1600

Pay Rate: $45/hour

Position Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced and results-driven Security Manager to lead security operations at a major Commercial facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily site operations, managing and developing security personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional client service while meeting financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the day-to-day security operations of an assigned client site
  • Manage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support
  • Ensure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees
  • Coordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client site to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service
  • Provide support to the Security team on all HSE matters, including but not limited to investigations of injury/illness, completion of learning from Incidents packages, promoting the safety culture by ensuring it is re-enforced throughout the security organization.
  • The development and implementation of security policies, programs and contingency plans to minimize the security risks within the facility.
  • Hosting security awareness training sessions, investigations for site incidents
  • Responsible for conducting mid-year and end year evaluations for all security team professionals.
  • Provide security related emergency response services and coordinate activities in the event of site wide emergency.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid BC Security Worker License
  • Post secondary education, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid security license
  • Minimum of two (2) years of security managerial experience
  • Valid Class 5 -drivers license with a clean drivers abstract

  • Proven experience in hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining quality team members
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with security systems and technologies is beneficial.
  • Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (excel, word and power-point)
