The Work:
This position is located at MCAS Miramar, CA and will support F-35 security operations as a Security Generalist, primarily supporting in a collateral Security Representative role, and will primarily be assigned to first shift, but may require flexibility to work other shifts as dictated by customer requirements. Due to the dynamic environment supporting flying operations, and pilot training the incumbent may be required to support either first, second or third shift operations to include weekends as required. While assigned shifts should be stable, applicants may be required to change shifts, if necessary, to support mission requirements. On occasion, incumbents may be required to work 1st or 2nd shift and a non-standard work schedule that differ from their primary shift being hired for. Some business travel may be required to include deployment and detachment support in arduous or austere locations to support F-35 security operations outside of MCAS Miramar, San Diego . Due to local mission requirements, a Top Secret/SCI clearance will be required, in the future.
The selected candidate will serve as a Collateral Security Representative. Candidate should be comfortable making decisions autonomously is a fast paced military environment, with little direct supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Working on/with Defense Information System for Security (DISS) / Information and Personnel Security Program (IPSP) administration to include:
- Perform Investigation initiation termination actions when required.
- Process visit requests
- Generate/Review monthly reports for assigned personnel
- Perform daily administration actions in support of the security program
- Provide Security Briefings to military, civilian, and contractor personnel
- Provide assistance/support to other security team members
- Performing other Security Generalist duties in support of squadron or Pilot Training Center as required
Who we are:
The program is eager for program security professionals. In support of our US Marine Corps, US Navy and US Air Force customers, members of the team are responsible for providing all aspects of security support services such as, Physical Security (PHYSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC) Collateral Security, Security Education and Training (SETA), Access Control, Media Control, Construction Security Management, and Squadron deployment support.
On occasion, incumbents may be required to work 1st or 2nd shift and a non-standard work schedule that differ from their primary shift being hired for.
Basic Qualifications
1. Current SECRET security clearance with an investigation within 5 years from the investigation Closed date or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program.
2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program if and when local mission requirements dictate.
3. Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs).
4. Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) if/when mission requirements dictate.
5. Familiar with working in classified environments and/or classified materials.
Desired skills
1. Knowledge of collateral security requirements.
2. Experience with DISS and NBIS
3. Experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment.
4. Experience working in a military environment,
specifically the USMC or Navy.
5. Experience providing briefings and/or training.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $69,900 - $123,280. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $80,400 - $139,380. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
