Product Security is the central team providing design and implementation security support to all products at Meta. The organization is responsible for enabling product groups to build secure-by-default products, preventing and detecting software vulnerabilities. The team is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Manager to support multiple web-security and mobile OS-security teams who build and deploy scalable SAST/DAST/agent-based detection and prevention tooling across multi-product technology stacks.
Responsibilities
Support the security engineering teams that build scalable tools to secure our web stack and mobile OS apps
• Influence and align the organization's vision and strategy, while engaging the team to develop and deliver specific, multi-year roadmaps, programs, and projects
• Ensure prioritization, resourcing, and timely delivery of project work within a changing business environment
• Define operational metrics, key performance indicators, and service level objectives to assure the team achieves deliverables
• Hire, grow, and build a high performing team capable of achieving the team's mission
• Collaborate and influence a wide range of cross-functional teams to develop scalable and flexible engineering solutions designed to mitigate security risks
• Build, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional partners to enable the team's ability to effectively and efficiently execute on project work
• Be a broad technical and process subject matter expert across the Product Security domain
Minimum Qualifications
• BA/BS in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience in Security
• 10+ years of work experience in security or software engineering and 5+ years of people management experience
• Experience recruiting, building, and leading technical teams and managing managers, including performance management
• Experience in driving large cross-company engineering initiatives, and communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutions
• Experience leading and managing complex multi-year cross-functional programs
• Experience developing and delivering information on program status for leadership
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Security domain experience in one or more of the following domains: web applications, mobile applications, distributed infrastructure, or a related field
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
