Full Job Description
Description

The Role. As SDR Sales Manager, you will lead Xe's Sales Development team and be accountable for building and running a scalable, high-performing lead generation engine across SDR1 to SDR3. Success in this role is measured through your team: how quickly new starters ramp, how effectively SDRs identify and engage prospective customers, and how consistently their activity converts into high-quality qualified pipeline. Coaching and development sit at the heart of the role. You will run structured one-to-ones, live call coaching and skills development, own onboarding and enablement, and establish the activity and qualification standards that drive SDR performance and pipeline quality. You will also work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships and GTM teams to strengthen targeting, lead flow, messaging, systems and conversion. Using data and funnel insights, you will identify opportunities to improve SDR effectiveness and continuously optimize how the team generates qualified opportunities. This is a hands-on sales leadership role. You will lead from the front while building the processes, playbooks and talent bench needed to scale the SDR function alongside business growth.

Your Mission. Lead a scalable, high-performing SDR organization that consistently generates qualified pipeline by developing great sales talent, creating strong outbound and inbound prospecting and continuously improving conversion through coaching, data and experimentation.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of SDR1-SDR3 representatives through structured one-to-ones, live call coaching, call reviews and ongoing performance feedback.
  • Own SDR onboarding, ramp and ongoing training across outbound prospecting, discovery and qualification, objection handling, and FX and international payments fundamentals.
  • Establish, model and reinforce activity, qualification and pipeline standards while ensuring consistent multi-channel prospecting, documentation and CRM discipline.
  • Manage day-to-day SDR performance, including individual and team targets, qualified meeting volume, productivity, performance conversations, recognition and development plans.
  • Develop and continuously improve prospecting strategies across phone, email, social and other channels to increase engagement and qualified opportunity creation.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to align SDR activity, targeting and pipeline generation with broader commercial priorities.
  • Establish effective feedback loops with sales stakeholders to understand opportunity quality, strengthen qualification criteria and continuously improve SDR-generated pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on inbound lead routing and follow-up, campaign execution, messaging, sequences and lead quality to improve conversion.
  • Partner with the Partnerships team to ensure referral and partner-sourced leads are followed up effectively and converted into qualified opportunities.
  • Partner with GTM and Sales Operations to improve target account lists, ICP and segmentation, lead scoring, trigger events, sequencing, workflow automation and performance visibility.
  • Use funnel data and dashboards to understand performance, identify conversion gaps and translate insights into targeted coaching and process improvements.
  • Own and continuously improve the SDR playbook and enablement content, ensuring it evolves alongside products, customer needs, ICP changes and market conditions.
  • Build a strong internal talent bench by identifying potential, creating development plans and preparing SDRs for progression into more senior sales roles.
  • Report on SDR performance, pipeline generation, conversion, productivity and ramp metrics to sales leadership, translating insights into clear actions.
  • Support the recruitment, selection and onboarding of new SDR talent in partnership with Sales leadership and Talent Acquisition.

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in FX, payments, fintech or a related B2B sales environment, with strong experience in sales development, lead generation or outbound customer acquisition.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing SDR or junior sales teams, with accountability for team performance and development.
  • Strong understanding of FX, international payments and the needs of businesses operating across borders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective prospecting disciplines, including activity standards, multi-channel sequencing, qualification frameworks, CRM hygiene and pipeline reporting.
  • Experience managing both outbound prospecting and inbound lead-conversion motions.
  • Strong coaching skills with the ability to turn call observations, funnel data and performance trends into practical development actions.
  • Data-driven approach to sales management with an understanding of key SDR metrics including activity, contact rates, meeting conversion, qualification, pipeline contribution and time-to-ramp.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM and familiarity with modern sales engagement and prospecting tools.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Operations and GTM teams.
  • Clear and credible communicator with high ownership, resilience and a genuine passion for developing sales talent.

How Success Is Measured
  • SDR team performance against activity, qualified meetings and pipeline-generation targets.
  • Lead-to-qualified-opportunity conversion and opportunity quality.
  • Pipeline generated and influenced by the SDR organization.
  • Inbound and outbound lead conversion performance.
  • Time-to-ramp and time-to-productivity for new SDRs.
  • SDR productivity and consistency across the team.
  • Team engagement, retention and internal career progression.
  • Adoption of SDR playbooks, qualification standards and CRM best practices.
  • Continuous improvement in prospecting effectiveness and funnel conversion.
