About the job you're consideringThis role is part of a Quality Engineering (QE) team focused on testing and automation of web applications. The SDET will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions to ensure high-quality software delivery across environments. The role requires strong expertise in web automation frameworks, Java programming, and CI/CD integration, along with the ability to work in a distributed onshore-offshore model.
Your role- Understand, analyze, and gather functional and technical requirements to define test strategy
- Design and create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and automation strategies for web applications
- Develop scalable and reusable automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java (TestNG/JUnit)
- Execute test cases and automation scripts across multiple environments (QA, STG, etc.) and validate results
- Perform defect identification, logging, tracking, and participate in defect triage discussions with stakeholders
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and ensure continuous testing execution
- Maintain test documentation, reports, and collaborate effectively in an onshore-offshore delivery model
Your skills and experience- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on QA testing and automation
- Expertise in Web UI testing and automation using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks
- Strong programming proficiency in Java
- Hands-on experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools (Jenkins), and build tools (Maven, ANT)
- Experience using debugging tools (Charles, Fiddler), Agile tools (JIRA), and test management tools (QMetry)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional Agile teams
- Good to have experience in POS systems/applications testing and automation
- Good to have knowledge of mobile testing/automation techniques
- Good to have experience in API testing and automation using tools such as Rest Assured, ReadyAPI, etc.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is highly preferred
- Exposure to end-to-end QE lifecycle and CI/CD-driven automation is a strong advantage
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68,911 - $161,544.
