We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with strong scientific background and analytical lab experience to join our Clinical Biomarker laboratory. This role will be responsible for the execution of clinical biomarker assay development, validation and sample analysis on next-generation sequencing (NGS), PCR, immunohistochemistry (IHC), flow cytometry and ELISA platforms to support biomarker strategy and advance clinical drug development programs.
Essential Functions of the job: - Support and execute clinical biomarker assay development, validation and sample analysis on next-generation sequencing (NGS), PCR, immunohistochemistry (IHC), flow cytometry and ELISA platforms
- Perform experiments according to study plans and work instructions to generate high-quality and robust biomarker data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including translational science, clinical biomarker scientists, clinical biomarker operations and bioinformatics teams to ensure assay alignment with clinical objectives.
- Author and review technical documentation including method validation and clinical sample analysis protocols, reports, and SOPs.
- Ensure quality control, data integrity, and timely delivery of analytical results.
- Maintain accurate lab records and peer review records as well as data generated from lab team members to ensure the completeness and accuracy of lab documentation and results
- Support routine lab operation items including but not limited to sample management, equipment/reagent/consumable maintenance etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities: - This role does not require supervisory responsibilities.
Computer Skills: - Proficiency in general software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Zoom, Teams as well as task-related systems
Other Qualifications: - M.S. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related field with 3+ years or B.S. with 5+ years of relevant industry experience in a clinical, translational or regulated environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on lab experience in one or more disciplines: NGS, PCR, histopathology, flow cytometry or ligand-binding assays.
- Attention to details and prior experience in a GCLP lab is a strong plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication, organization and project management skills.
- Experience in lab automation, electronic laboratory notebook (ELN), laboratory information management system (LIMS) and initial lab workflow set-up is a plus.
Travel: Salary Range: $94,600.00 - $129,600.00 annually
