About the RoleYou will lead clinical research expansion of Ataraxis to next cancer types/disease areas beyond breast cancer. Ataraxis has already developed a pan-cancer AI platform that has been internally validated to perform well across various tumor types.
What You'll Do- You will work directly with the CEO and own the expansion of Ataraxis into a new cancer type from early scientific groundwork through the foundation for launch.
- Build and manage a network of relationships with clinical leaders, advisors, and research collaborators.
- Work with our data and partnerships teams to secure and shape the resources our models need.
- Partner with engineering and research to bring the first models in a new indication to life.
Who You Are- You need relentless drive. This is the thing we care about most. You are the kind of person who, when nobody is going to hand you what you need, goes and gets it anyway. You've done impressive things that weren't required of you. You close loops and you're your own project manager.
- You need to be scientifically fluent. You can discuss clinical studies, translational science, and you can learn details about drugs and trials such that a medical oncologist treats you as a peer. We expect top candidates in this role to have PhD or MS with research/publication track record.
- You need scientific charm. You need to be compelling in conversations with physicians and researchers explaining why our work matters.
- You need to be able to form your own view on complex questions where the information is incomplete, reason from first principles, and trust your intuition, and then update your priors as you learn.
- You need to be very comfortable with modern AI stack and use AI tools to increase your speed (but you know how to avoid AI slop).
