Downey, CA.Position Overview - Provide school-based nursing care across three school campuses, responding to student health needs, injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies.
- Develop and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and administer routine and emergency medications for students with chronic health conditions.
- Conduct health screenings, maintain student health and immunization records, and support communicable disease prevention and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with families, educators, school leadership, and healthcare providers to support student health, safety, and access to education.
Qualifications - Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Experience providing care to elementary and/or middle school students, including managing chronic conditions, medications, and urgent health needs, is preferred
- Strong critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced school environment
