Overview

We are looking for a Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QESH) Supervisor to join our Plant Operations Team. The QESH Supervisor designs, implements, and promotes overall food and product safety and quality program initiatives within SodaStream. This role is responsible for developing Quality, Safety and Health processes and procedures, conducts ongoing audits and provides overall support to management in the promotion and assessment of compliance with all regulations, guidelines, and operating procedures.

As a leader, you will help develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention, development, and high performance. You will be responsible for carrying out and attaining the mission and goals of the QESH Team.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Supervise oversight of Quality Assurance as it relates to the filling factory, third party service providers, and suppliers.
  • Act as the voice of QA across the organization in a collaborative, customer / consumer centric manner.
  • Implements and maintains quality systems to ensure facility compliance with FDA, DOT (Department of Transportation, U.S) and third-party audits.
  • Implements and trains manufacturing personnel in quality systems to maximize product quality.
  • Conducts ongoing audits within filling factory and third-party distribution partners to ensure federal and company quality standards are being complied with.
  • Maintain customer compliance with the help of our Global team and resolve any customer related issues with the help of other responsible team members.
  • Initiates problem solving activities relating to quality parameter issues.
  • Supports the continuous training, record keeping, and maintenance of the quality practices within the filling factory and other areas within the business.
  • Help develop plans and objectives in cross functional projects to improve operational and quality plant performance.
  • Local lead for the implementation of quality systems to achieve ISO 22000 certification with the support of our Global Quality Assurance team.
  • Ensure all safety and work procedures are followed.
  • Oversee Quality team and Safety Trainer.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Safety
  • Responsible for creating and evaluating a safe working space for all employees in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Recognize and anticipate safety risks and take appropriate action where needed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure safety protocols are in place and followed.
  • Execute any environmental and safety related measures developed by the QESH department. Report any non-conformances to the QESH department and or management.


Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,600 - $123,150.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred
  • 5- 7 years minimum of prior QA experience in food/beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical or other related manufacturing industry.
  • 3+ years of experience managing employees.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Controls and Process Improvement such as Six Sigma, and Lean.
  • Detail oriented, goal oriented and ability to complete tasks under deadline pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to navigate and be comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with multiple levels of the organization across all functions, while demonstrating strong leadership skills. Strong work ethic, detail to attention and teamwork attitude.
  • Familiarity with compliance to CFIA standards and third-party food certifications, i.e., ISO/BRC/SQF.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving, risk analysis and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
