The Role

Contributes to the overall success of Talent & Core HR globally by enabling enterprise Talent capabilities across the SuccessFactors suite, with a strong focus on skills, job architecture, and Talent Intelligence. Ensures Talent initiatives are executed and delivered in support of business strategies, leveraging Employee Central as a foundational system of record and ensuring compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

What will we expect from you?

  • Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen relationships with HR and business stakeholders and enable scalable Talent outcomes.
  • Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet business needs, by applying their HR and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. This includes conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, participating in the reengineering of the HR business process workflows and liaising with the users.
  • Serves as a senior functional subject matter expert across SAP SuccessFactors
  • Leads the configuration and ongoing enhancement of job architecture, job profiles, skills, competencies, and related attributes using Job Profile Builder and Talent Intelligence Hub.
  • Ensures Employee Central foundational structures and effective-dated data appropriately support Talent and Skills configuration and downstream Talent processes.
  • Works closely with HR partners and product leads to translate Talent and business requirements into system-enabled solutions.
  • Talent modules, with a strong focus on skills, job architecture, and Talent Intelligence capabilities.
  • Configures and supports Talent modules including Performance & Goals, Recruiting, Succession & Career Development, Opportunity Marketplace, Growth Portfolio, Learning and related Talent solutions, ensuring alignment to approved Talent use cases and enterprise standards.
  • Manage multiple small HR technology projects and/or manage specific sections of large projects to implement technology solutions to HR business problems. This involves planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans and monitoring progress against planned objectives.
  • Supports Talent and skills-related vendor integrations and data ingestion processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise Talent and data governance standards.
  • Participates in SuccessFactors implementation and enhancement initiatives by interpreting business and Talent requirements into functional specifications, system configuration, and post-implementation support.
  • Participates in the review of Quality Assurance (QA) strategies to ensure testing is comprehensive and aligned with Talent requirements; supports defect analysis and resolution.
  • Reviews and analyzes business and Talent requirements to produce functional system requirements leveraged by internal delivery teams and external vendors.
  • Manages multiple small Talent Technology initiatives or defined components of larger programs, ensuring delivery discipline, quality outcomes, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Continually enhances knowledge of Talent practices, HR processes, SuccessFactors capabilities, and emerging HR technology trends.
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in Talent and HR technology decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring strong operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk controls.

What You Will Bring to Succeed

  • 3-5 years of experience working with SAP SuccessFactors, with hands-on configuration across Talent modules.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring Talent capabilities such as Performance & Goals, Recruiting, Succession & Career Development, Opportunity Marketplace, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with Job Profile Builder, job frameworks, and skills or competency libraries.
  • Experience supporting Talent Intelligence Hub or skills-based Talent initiatives preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Employee Central as a foundational system supporting Talent data.
  • SAP SuccessFactors certification in at least 2 Talent space
  • Knowledge of Talent process to oversee day-to-day activities.
  • Working knowledge of Talent Management and HR business processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems, HR, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation from both users and senior management. These skills, along with the incumbent's good time management and organizational skills, will allow the incumbent to effectively manage small projects while planning and scheduling resources within those projects to optimize productivity.
  • Must have a very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real time analytical and formal modelling tools and keep current with rapidly changing technology.
