Job Summary
The SAP BTP Integration Lead is a senior technical role responsible for architecting, delivering, and governing integration solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Reporting directly to the GAF Integrations Manager, this role serves as the primary technical authority for all BTP-related integration workstreams across the enterprise, bridging SAP and non-SAP ecosystems to support global business operations.

Essential Duties
  • Integration Architecture & Design • Lead end-to-end design and architecture of integration solutions on SAP BTP using SAP Integration Suite (CPI/iFlow), SAP BTP Cloud Foundry, and CAP-based services • Define integration standards, patterns, and best practices for API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, and IDoc/EDI-based messaging • Provide architectural oversight for S/4HANA-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premise integration scenarios • Evaluate and recommend BTP services including Integration Suite, XSUAA, Connectivity Service, and Destination Service
  • Technical Delivery & Governance • Own the delivery of integration projects from requirements through deployment, including MTA build/deploy pipelines on Cloud Foundry • Govern identity and access management across BTP landscapes including IAS/IDP federation, XSUAA scoping, and SSO delegation • Lead code quality and security standards, including Checkmarx scanning integration and remediation for BTP/Node.js deployments • Oversee PostgreSQL and Azure SQL connectivity patterns for BTP-hosted workloads
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership • Serve as the technical liaison between the GAF Integrations team and business stakeholders, functional leads, and external vendors • Mentor and guide junior integration developers and consultants across the team • Drive vendor assessments and facilitate technical reviews for third-party integration tools and platforms • Collaborate with the Manager on capacity planning, resource allocation, and roadmap prioritization
  • Operations & Support • Support escalation and root-cause analysis for production integration incidents • Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks for BTP integration flows

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP integration with at least 3 years focused on SAP BTP
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration / CPI), including iFlow design, error handling, and monitoring
  • Demonstrated expertise in S/4HANA integration scenarios including IDoc processing, OData services, and BAPI/RFC connectivity
  • Strong experience with identity and access management on BTP: XSUAA, IAS, SAP App Router, and OAuth 2.0 flows
  • Flexibility to Travel: Travel may be extensive at times to accommodate program needs, including support for program activities, vendor meetings, and site visits as necessary.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Integration Suite for BTP
  • Proficiency in Node.js for BTP Cloud Foundry service development
  • Experience with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) for service and API development
  • Familiarity with MTA (Multi-Target Application) descriptors and cf CLI-based deployment workflows
  • Working knowledge of Azure services (Azure SQL, Azure Front Door, Azure AD) as they relate to BTP integration patterns
  • Experience with API management, OpenAPI/OData specifications, and REST/SOAP service patterns

Qualifications Preferred
  • SAP Certified Integration Associate – SAP Integration Suite or equivalent BTP certification
  • Experience with OpenText VIM and vendor invoice processing (INVOIC02 IDoc flows)
  • Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) SCIM APIs and BW/CDS view exposure patterns
  • Exposure to Okta or third-party IdP federation with SAP IAS
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Network (Ariba), Datasphere integration patterns

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $144,000-$198,000
