Role Overview:This role is for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a strong focus on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The individual will be responsible for independent design, build, test, and support activities, collaborating with functional teams to create seamless integration solutions within a cloud environment. Key aspects include leveraging cloud-native development principles for ABAP within SAP BTP, optimizing code for performance, and ensuring efficient utilization of SAP BTP capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Work independently on design, build, test, and support activities.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and design seamless integration solutions.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for re-occurring or critical issues and propose solutions.
- Conduct Unit, System, and Integration testing at various project lifecycle phases and document results.
Required Skills:- Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development within a cloud environment.
- Extensive experience in SAP ABAP development, with a focus on SAP BTP.
- Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services and cloud-native development principles.
- Ability to leverage cloud-native development principles for ABAP within the SAP BTP environment.
- Design and implement scalable and resilient ABAP solutions aligned with cloud architecture best practices.
- Optimize ABAP code for performance and ensure efficient execution within the SAP BTP landscape.
- Conduct performance tuning activities and implement enhancements for better system responsiveness.
- Ensure proper utilization of SAP BTP capabilities such as SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, and other relevant services.
- Strong development and debugging skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player, conversant in working with onsite/offshore models.
Qualifications:- 8-10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, specifically with SAP BTP.
Preferred Skills:- Relevant certifications in SAP BTP and ABAP development.
- Exposure to Agile and other structured implementation methodologies.
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles.
- Understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts.
