Role Overview:This role is for an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead an Infrastructure, Device Discovery, and Service Mapping initiative that is currently facing schedule and delivery risks. The manager will be responsible for disciplined sprint-based execution, diagnosing program delays, and implementing corrective actions without waiting for explicit permission.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Infrastructure, Device Discovery, and Service Mapping program.
- Implement disciplined sprint-based execution methodologies.
- Diagnose reasons for program delays and delivery risks.
- Correct program course proactively.
- Run Agile/Scrum ceremonies with a 2-week sprint cadence.
Required Skills:- 5+ years managing technical infrastructure or IT operations programs.
- Demonstrated experience with network/device discovery and CMDB tooling (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, Lansweeper, Device42).
- Working familiarity with service/dependency mapping concepts and tools (e.g., ServiceNow Service Mapping, BMC Helix).
- Proven track record of successfully correcting programs that were behind schedule or over budget.
- Comfort with Agile/Scrum methodologies and 2-week sprint cadences.
- Strong written communication skills.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing technical infrastructure or IT operations programs.
Preferred Skills:- Hands-on experience in building or validating service maps.
- Experience with discovery protocols such as SNMP, WMI, and agent-based discovery.
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications.
