Role Overview:This role focuses on SAP system administration, providing critical insight to optimize and maintain the overall reliability, availability, and performance of SAP landscapes. The individual will offer hands-on support and technical leadership for incidents, contributing to the planning, design, and architecture of SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive SAP system administration, ensuring optimal reliability, availability, and performance.
- Meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by providing hands-on support and technical leadership for incidents.
- Support the planning, design, and architectural phases of SAP systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain all SAP BASIS components, including performing SAP upgrades and support pack implementations.
- Drive sustainable operational excellence by optimizing services, improving quality and reliability, and reducing incidents, defects, and waste.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure appropriate capacity planning and optimization of SAP services.
- Define and implement effective and efficient support models and processes, ensuring regulatory and legal compliance.
- Maintain secure operations of the SAP landscape, staying aware of security trends, implementing improved security features, and applying security patches.
- Provide product lifecycle, vendor, and contract management for supported applications, understanding IT vendor directions.
- Identify opportunities to deflect requests/incidents through enhanced training and knowledge articles.
- Provide guidance to support teams, ensuring operational knowledge is captured and standard operating procedures are adhered to.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills to foster collaborative project deliveries.
- Manage vendor relationships throughout project durations and collaborate with vendor implementation resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create essential project artifacts such as scope, schedule, budget, test plans, and organizational change management plans.
- Drive critical, time-sensitive discussions related to risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points with stakeholders.
- Actively comply with Central Hudson's Project Management process, methodology, and standards.
- Understand and apply Organizational Change Management principles to projects for effective communication and adoption.
Required Skills: - Proficiency in SAP BASIS administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with SAP upgrades and support pack implementations.
- Strong understanding of SAP system optimization, reliability, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of SAP security best practices and patch management.
- Ability to define and implement effective support models and processes.
